Words and music written by Adam DiCarlo (December 1999)
Late at night I look at myself
I realize I don’t know who I am yet
But I try to understand it
Why I can’t have enough
Why I put goals just out of grasp
How can I be satisfied
When I have a love for sadness?
Oh, I dream of clarity
Of truth and a passion that would never leave
Oh, late at night
My dreams are realized
And as I fall asleep
I pray to God these dreams to keep
Someday I won’t have to tell myself
I’m better than everybody else
I’ve found the way I feel
Is the same as everyone
When I’m not in denial, I don’t have fun
Every time I find in you
The same person as in me
The only thing I do
Is see what I want to see
Sometimes I fantasize
About a kindred personality
